My 2002 jetta wont start its acting like its not getting any gas, it will turn on right when you turn the key then turns off, we thought it was the fuel flitter so we change it, it still wont work, and a week before this the check engine light came on, then this happen. I was just wonder what could it be, and can we fix it ourself or have to take it to a shop.

Try squirting a little starting fluid in the intake. If it fires and dies - you have spark and a fuel related problem. If it does not fire - you have an ignition problem.
