Asked by xaghra Mar 08, 2013 at 02:34 AM about the 2003 Volkswagen Passat

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have very little heat coming from the heater. The radiator and thermostat and motor new. (there was a fault code for the motor, but when motor changed no fault code now.) there is no other fault code. The water pump is working and pressure to radiator and coolant system is fine.I have carried out bleeding and there does not appear to be any blockage. There does not appear to a blockage through the cooling system including the core. and hoses. I do have some heat when control is on recirculating (engine heat. but not flow through the heater coil. Matric and flaps work ok
VW have not been able to solve this problem. However there must be someone who has a similar peoblem.I only wish I could find that someone. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Electrical supply . I have a VW 2004 1.9 TDi . The Heated Seats , Aircon control , speed control and steering controls malfunctioned on the same time . Fuses are checked and no blown fuses . Could this be a relay problem . The relays are all mounted under neath the dashboard on driver side . Regards

Sounds like a issue with the air diverter. It directs air from the outside or from the heater core into the inside compartment. Could be a mechanical, cable, relay, control, or debris issue not allowing the diverter to swing into the proper position. Need to have another garage look into it as the first one did not do enough checking to fix it properly.
