Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Drove over a speed hump at high speed unintentionally and heard a loud thud, seconds
later oil light came on and i pulled over to see oil rushing out underneath the car. Have no
idea what it could be but assuming ive put a hole in something? Any ideas...

You could have punctured the oil pan? Tore an oil line? Only way to find out for sure is to climb underneath and inspect the damage.

No oil lines hanging down that far...most likely the oil pan. Inspect it, replace it...and stop jumping speed bumps, eh?

your car is bleeding- do not drive it- have it towed to a mechanic- what does it matter WHAT broke? It is serious and it needs to be fixed-

there are also aftermarket skid-plates you can install that will ensure no repeat of this accident.
