Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a VW 2004 Touraeg and right after I put gas in, the EPC light came on.  The car is performing fine.  What could this be?

The EPC light is VWs version of the Check Engine light. Any sensor glitch or malfunction will trigger it. Could be something as simple as not tightening the gas cap or using the wrong grade gas. I would have a code scan run on it at any local auto parts store and come back and tell me the code(s) it gives you.

I purchased a used 2004 Touareg....it was low on gas so I put about $10 in (Regular Unleaded) using a gas can...after I drove it for a little ways the EPC light came on....I took a look at the gas cap and it was tight but then I noticed a tag instructing to Use Unleaded Premium only...I'm hoping that this is what caused the light to come on and that it will go away soon.
