mystery nubs

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

on the right side of the dashboard appeard two nubs to which a computer shelf? Pizza delivery boy destinations, something that likes to pivot in the z-axis. Could simply remove the mount, but am missing out on something. Perhaps one of you could tell me what this "mount" with nubs perhaps 15 cm apart- Auxilliary component? seems like a mini, not an aftermarket whiz-bang-

If your talking about the "nubs on the right hand side of the dash that is a place to add the mini cup holder option. I think they get in the way more then they help but a lot of my mini customers have them. Below is a picture of what it looks like installed. Hope this helps thanks for the picture. http://www.google.com/imgres? q=r50+mini+cup+holder+option&num=10&hl=en&biw=127 3&bih=534&tbm=isch&tbnid=QsGFh_cNSaB46M:&imgrefurl= http://www.spridgetmania.com/part/NMI7677/Mini-Cooper- Cup-Holder-Oem-Post-Mount---R50-52-53-Cooper-- S&docid=13YCxsohoRe_hM&itg=1&imgurl=http://www.sprid getmania.com/images_temp/35026000truenmi7677.jpg&w= 350&h=260&ei=9_mBUPPBJony2QX774HgDA&zoom=1&iact =hc&vpx=996&vpy=31&dur=652&hovh=190&hovw=257&tx =137&ty=123&sig=104998773335958730772&page=1&tbn h=149&tbnw=197&start=0&ndsp=16&ved=1t:429,r:5,s:0,i:8 6

Robert, how completely uneventful. Coopy's already got a cup holder- Thanx a zillion for researching this for me. Not going to remove this mount...yet.

added the "swingy" cup holder...typical MINI...it's alright except one needs both hands on the wheel at attention to drive on of these and to pause to slurp some coffee?....maybe stuck in a construction zone, but driving one of these requires your attention~
