Dead battery and lights

Asked by Mhynes98 Aug 11, 2020 at 10:13 AM about the 2006 Mercury Montego

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So the battery on my 2006 mercury Montego
died during quarantine. Should have driven it
more.  I am charging the battery but all the
interior lights are on and will not turn off. Is
this normal?

No it's not. Disconnect the battery cables, negative first then positive, and charge the battery. Reconnect the battery cables, positive first then negative, and use your key fob to lock then unlock the vehicle. That should reset it. If not you have something else going on with the interior lights. Hope that helps! Jim
