the blower started on high when I started my car and won't turn off.

RockAuto.com shows a Blower Motor Control Module - usually they are called resistors so this might have some sort of speed control. Find it using - 2006 KIA SORENTO 3.5L V6 : Heat & Air Conditioning : Blower Motor Control Module / Resistor --- It could be some wires crossed at the switch itself.
