kia sedona wont star unless its in neutral

Sometimes my Kia Sedonna wont start unless its
in neutral. What could that be? And is thua
expensive?

Neutral safety switch. I believe on Kia's it is called the "inhibit switch." It prevents the car from starting unless it's in neutral or park. It's not an expensive part, but the switch is mounted over the transmission.

Yes, that could be the cause. The transmission linkage must be removed before you are able to reach the switch. Then remove the two 10 mm bolts that hold it to the transmission.
