What is the timing set at on a 1999 gmc dearest 5.7 lt

By your question i can only asume you mean timing marks.Get number 1 cylinder up top dead center,check crank pulley there will be a mark on it,should be lined up if you are top dead center on fire stroke.Then go up to your cam,s there is a knocth on each cam sprocket,they should line up with the mark on the head.
