How do I diagnose and repair my car's stereo?

Asked by Christian Feb 02, 2018 at 06:41 PM about the 2001 GMC Jimmy

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've had this 2001 GMC Jimmy for about a year and a half now and the stereo
doesn't work. When I first got the vehicle, the rear right speaker would work but
after a month it stopped working. I removed the head unit and checked all the
plastic connections to see if they were seated properly and didn't see anything
wrong there. What should I be looking for?

1 Answer

Try replacing the speaker and if that does not work check the wiring for damage.
