battery drain

02 F350 battery power drain.Ihave disconnected cables and battery stays up. To check for battery drain do
I need to disconnect both batteries negative cables to check with a multimeter?

change the wires or cable how ever you like to call it that goes connected to your battery that could be the problem Good Luck :)

Alternator problem - this has happened to me three times. Buy the alternator from the dealer - motorcraft (I have had issues with aftermarket alternators).
