Year, make, model, front or rear? Usually the calipers are messed up because they got severely overheated and burned the pistons and or seals or an amateur cocked the pistons when they shoved them back in to do a brake job. Replace the calipers and most likely the rotors and definitely the pads.

Off replace the left front caliper six times in the right front calipers four times what could be causing the calipers to stick and replaced break holes also

I’m on my fifth complete replacement in seven years and they’re locking up again. The mechanic that replaced them the second time said the remanufactured calipers all have phenolic/plastic parts now and will fail as soon as the plastic absorbs the fluid and swells. #China
