Worn oil pump and or lots of miles on the engine. Check using a diagnostic oil pressure gauge to make sure its NOT the sending unit... Reduced oil pressure when idling. Triggers the oil sender to turn the oil light ON and the gauge confirms it. The hotter it is the lower the pressure becomes at idle. keep the level up until you can have this (possibly) repaired. Might be engine replacement time. Regards
