when do you adjust the bands in the transmission and how ?

that is a big job you will have to dissassemble the tranny and adjust with feeler gauges to factor spec!

thank you it does not appear to slip it shifts in to high to fast it seems and loads the engine to hard pull up hill and does not want to down shift in a loaded pull.

well i would have the the shift control unit looked at by a tranny shop i dont think the 1997 has a kick down cable but if it does then its just an adjustment either way i dont think the "tranny" is the problem i would say either the control modual or the cable if it has one
