my 1998 dodge ram 2500 v10 wont stay running

My truck starts up and drives for a few miles then goes into shut off mode.Then
about 30 minutes later it will start up again. Fuel pump? Positioning sensor?

scan for codes even if the light ain't on , Get it running and test alternator output with your multi tester

Sounds like a bad ignition coil or ignition control module. Often these will work fine when they're cold but break down and fail when they get hot. When it quits, check for spark. If you have none test those two components, when they're still hot. Hope that helps! Jim
