Question type: Maintenance & Repair

How do I get better gas mileage
on a 2001 dodge RAM 1500 3.9
liter v6 Magnum

My information shows that your truck having the 3.9 liter engine, it must also be the 2WD model. Whether is it is automatic or standard doesn't matter much so you might get 13 city and 19 highway with a combined mileage of 15. How you drive it makes a big difference too. Being an older vehicle, all you can do is tune it up and hope for the best. Newer trucks are more efficient but I won't spend $40,000 to get 5 more mile per gallon. No, not me.
