Fixing my truck help

Ok I got a 01 dodge ram 1500 v8 5.2L magnum  
and idk what is wrong with it it won't go in D I gotta
put it in 1st to start off then 2nd then 3rd then after
3rd I put it in drive and it'll go but hardly any power
I need help

Drive it to 3 or 4 trans shops and c what the consensus is. They should do it for free and at same time give u an estimate. Probably bad trans. If u have them do work MAKE SURE u trust them/have good reputation.

And plus if it's in neutral it'll want to go forward and I put transmission fluid in it and it just poured out
