Resistance in accelerator

Recently on my truck when i
accelerate the resistance on the
pedal is significant its like im trying to
puch a boulder with my foot. It has a
hard time going over 2000 rpms it
almost feels like im towing
something but im not. I cannot
pinpoint the issue... Im stumped.

Buy some throttle body cleaner and start by cleaning that. Especially the throttle plate area. Check your throttle cables. You can manually pull on the throttle cables from under the hood. See if they feel like they are binding up. You may need to lubricate them with WD-40. Here's a vid..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PL1S1NNFFY

Also add some fuel injector cleaner to gas tank. Maybe dirty injectors . Take down road and hit the passing gear a couple of times. Be careful do not want a speeding ticket.
