What is the black grill support/ Hood opener called?

About a month back I hit a deer and after getting the damaged appraised, I came to the
conclusion that fixing it myself will be cheaper than sending it in for repairs. But I cant find
the name of this particular part anywhere and im curious if you can even buy it online.

I believe its called a secondary safety latch .
