I was told to fill it till it spilled out the hole where you could put it in at. Then, since the mech said they were known for their problems... he suggested jacking the truck even further on one end so that I could overfill it in the same hole; then close it up and let it down. Might take 8 liters or more. Fill till fill. Then tip the truck up and fill more. Check it often and re-fill.
Just swapped transfer case, how much fluid do I need to put back in transfer case?

I have an 2001 dodge 1500. The back of the transfer case is cracked to the point that it won't hold fluid. It still shifts into 4H and 4L. Wouldn't that mean the transfer case is still in tact?

I just had a rebuilt transfer case installed. When I hit a bump, a horrible grinding starts, sometimes it goes away, sometimes it doesn't. Is this the chain, the gears, is it trying to slip into 4WD...
