2005 Dodge 1500 4.7

Asked by Timmy Sep 02, 2015 at 08:44 AM about the 2005 Dodge RAM 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 Dodge 1500 with the 4.7 w/
egr. The is shot so obviously in going to be
doing and engine swap. I will hopefully be
pulling one out of a darango from the ju k
yard. Was just told that I'd have to swap alot
of things over ho in order to do that. Which
doesn't make sense to me becuase there
both the same engine? Would I have to
swap a bunch of stuff over or no?

The engines may be the same but you have to hook it up the way your old motor was in order to run properly with the computer that is in your truck..
