I drive a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L
V8 Hemi; the 4x4 lever is on the floor
board and seems to not do anything,
I can move it by barely touching it
and nothing happens...any ideas? I
need to fix it before the snow hits!

Crawl under the truck..or persuade somebody else to..you need a helper...and move the shifter lever around and the other guy (Make Grandma get under there..she is there for Thanksgiving right?) look and see what is happening. Could be something really easy and inexpensive like linkage fell off or broke. Just kidding about Grandma ya know.
