I have a 2006 Dodge Dakota 3.7 4 wd . How many
quarts of transmission fluid do I need, it is bone
dry

automatic right ? put in two and check it , more if you need just to get the stick wet ,to officially check it take a little ride and get it warm , shut it off and wait 10 minutes , start it up and check the dipstick , half a quart will bring it from lowest "low" mark to about full , you don't want to over fill it .
