There's a high pitched noise coming from the fuel tank area, we've heard this is a common occurance with Chrysler vans, what can be done?

It sounds as though your fuel pump is getting ready to go out. Consider having the fuel pump replaced or consulting the dealership, who may have a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) which would address this problem, if it is a commonly-seen issue.
