The electronics all fail.on pt cruiser window motors fail at about 100,000 miles.all.door handles break rear latch breaks. Electric cooling fan causes overheats. Fun cars but money pits after 100,000 miles

mine has 189000 mile on it.. been a great car.. but Im a retired ASE master tech and Ford certified.. I keep up on everything it may need.. a very reliable car, the power windows still work great , I rebuilt the engine myself around 48000 miles ago when I purchased the car,it had a seized engine, and the car had no wheels or top dash on it..
