Even if the ratios were different, the difference between the 99 and 01 would be that much different to notice a gas mileage difference. How many miles does the 99 have compared to the 01? Maintenace and driving style would affect the gas mileage noticeably more than any other factor.
What are the gear ratios on the '99 LSE Regal? Do they differ from the 2001 LS model? My LSE gets terrible mileage compared to my dad's LS.
