Power steering problem

My car power steering broke this winter when my
dad pulled it with his truck out if our icy drive way.
After that the power steering was completely gone
for 3 weeks it suddenly started to work again and
was working fine until know. The power steering
has stooped working again suddenly overnight and
the only thing my car needs a new cat receiver I
really need help I can't figure out what exactly is
wrong.

I just checked the fluid level it was completely empty I filled it to max I do t see any leaks right know but I will continue to inspect and I think you where correct about water getting Into rack or pump and correct it worked when it became warm
