the dashboard has popped open right above the steering wheel, can this be repaired

has anyone fixed a popped dashboard lately? I bought a 2002 buick
lasabre new, only has 64000 miles on it, would love to have the dash
board fixed but do not want to spend an arm and leg.

They make all sorts of dashboard covers. The sun tray can pop out and be replaced on its own, but those tend to sit just under the windshield, from your description you'll either have to replace the dashboard or put an aftermarket cover on it.
