My car over heats and it looks like the radiator needs flush but I noticed a black like oil substance. I want to fix it before it gets bad. It runs perfect I just want to take care of overheating.

For short money you can get a new one. Look on line. Ebay is a good place to start. Change the thermostat. Get some anti freeze and distilled water. Mix it 50-50. You'll get another 12 years out of it.
