You will have to inflate all tires to proper PSI and the light should reset itself. If it does not there is a persistant leak or a problem with the tire pressure monitor in one of the wheels.

Actually, you inflate the tires to the proper PSI, and then there's a reset button under the dashboard below the steering wheel. For more information, read your manual.

I had the same problem after changing tires on my 2004 Highlander. Make sure when you "turn the ignition switch on, push the reset switch for a few seconds until the light goes out, and then pusch the reset switch again until the light blinks three times". The system does not reset properly until the light blinks three times. Good luck.

Easy Peasy. If the low tire light keeps coming back on and all the tires are up to correct pressure, the system needs to be reinitialized. Turn the key on..engine off and hold in the tpm reset button (below steering wheel under dash) and the light will go off. That just resets the tpm system not reinitialize. Turn the key off...then repeat the same process but hold in the reset button until the light flashes slow three times. That will reinitialize the system.

I found out that the spare tire pressure is also monitored. I had filled and tweaked the 4 and re-initialized via reset button 3X. Checked the spare it was 10 low. Filled it, put it back, light went out on its own. 2010 Highlander.

2006 Highlander does NOT monitor the spare tire. There are no TPMS on any rims. The system relies on the rotation of the four wheels to calculate if they are running fast (low tire pressure) Since the spare is not spinning and not being analyzed by ABS it is not monitored

2011 Highlander can't find the elusive reset or set switch. All tires have been checked and psi is correct. Anyone have some ideas?

I finally found the tire pressure button on my 2004 Highlander. It really is below the steering wheel (and a little to the left) but you have to really bend down and look UNDER the edge where the plastic dashboard ends. It's about the size of a dime. I had to press the button and turn the key just so the dashboard lights came on. The tire pressure light finally went off after about 15 seconds of playing around with the key, turning the ignition on/off while holding down the tire pressure button. It shouldn't be this hard, but it is very rewarding once the light goes off! Good luck!

I had that problem on my 2010 and found out that the spare tire was low on air ... who knew. So before you try resetting the button under the dash check your spare tire because some have sensors

Joe, it turned out that was what my problem was. I finally dropped the spare tire, pumped it up, I was good to go.

On my 2004 I needed to tun the car on, hold the button until the light went off. Then I turned the car off, restarted it and then pressed the button until the light flashed three times. Once done the problem went away. Its odd but I tried the other methods and they would not work unless the car was running. any thoughts?

I have a 2010. If you have checked all your tires be sure to check the spare. A car guru friend told me if the tire valve lower section is metal then it likely has a sensor. My spare has a sensor. Saved a trip to the dealer.
