I have 1991 f150 i turn the key, and nothing!

nothing comes on, lights, windshield wipers, horn doesn't work nothing works! but the battery gauge bounces when turning the key. so i bought a brand new battery and still nothing

Non working gauges or gauges that bounce around when the key is turned indicates a bad electrical connection, probably at or close to the battery. If there are any fusible links near the battery jiggle them while someone tries to start the car. If it starts easily, the link needs replacing.
