Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 98 Ford F-150 5.4 v8 4x4 and when I drive it I feel
like I'm going no where it's like it hesitates to go faster
than usual just outta no where and i usually do  
maintenance on it quite frequently just fixed one my coil
packs. I hooked my code scanner to it and nothing just
two o2 sensors only because I cut of two of the four cats I
had. So I don't know what it could be it has 161,000
anything helps.

If you can see on your scanner a contribution test. Put under load while holding brake and accelerating in gear sitting stationary. See if you are any misfired. Also look at fuel trim from left bank and right bank. If one side is showing more rich or lean. than the other suspect worn timing chain. Also can cause hesitation when accelerating

If short term fuel trim is negative to bank 1 and positive to bank 2. Fuel trim should be pretty close to the same on each side. Of way off from each other. Suspect worn timing chain.
