do you jump the gap on a starter solenoid

my 1999 f 150 won't start the battery is
good no sound at all

Ya one could do that, but check your battery connections first, and check the main fuses. Solenoid, starter, fuses, connections, & or ignition switch, any one could be bad.

Check the net for the procedure if the connections and battery check out ok. Cumbersome to explain here, probably many videos which will show exactly what to do.
