Have the battery checked. I had a new battery that did the same thing - it was bad.

Also check the condition of battery cables, grounds and all fuses, a blown fuse for the ecm will shut you down on the spot.
Have your alternator tested too. Typically a battery doesn't shut down your car. A alternator not charging will.
