VIN number Invalid

When I contact Ford Motor Co. for answers to my question about cranking my car and submit my question, the website sends me a message that my vin number is not valid.  I have vefified that it is correct and I am not usinm ang o's or l's. Those letters are replaces with 0' and 1's per FMC instructions. I have tried it all ways possible and it still tells me my vin number is invalid.  Why?

Are you using the VIN plate under the windshield glass? Try an alternate VIN location site if you can find one, like the inside of the drivers front door, an under-hood sticker or stamp, any stickers or plates in the trunk....

vin numbers are not listed or kept track of until the late 90,s.have it checked at the DMV.

I AM PLACING THE VIN NUMBER IN THE TILE. A FEW HOUR EGO I TRIED TO REGISTER THE SAME CAR BUT AT THAT MOMENT I LOST THE INTERNET APPARENTLY I WAS NOT REGISTER AND TRAY ONE MORE TIME EVEN PAY $19.99 MORE FOR THE PREFERENCE ADD. I APPRECIATE YOU CLEAR THIS SO I CAN REGISTER WITH THIS NEW OPTIONS WITH THE PAYMENT I DID OR MAY BE NOT DONE, I CAN FINISH THE TRANSACTION WITHOUT THE APPROVAL OF THE VIN #
