stop firing when hot

car runs great for about 20 min.then stops fireing cools off then runs great another 20 min.

their is a gray box that is on the distributor,or on top of the ac compressor,cant think of part name,unpluge it take to parts store,get new one,if on dis,socket size is 5/5mm 2 bolts.
