Don't know if this will help, but I've had experience with my 1981 T-Bird. Am going to do a 4th vinyl replacement. My car only has a 1/3 vinyl top. Have to remove the headliner, and the rear back and seat to be able to remove the side panels. Hunt for the hidden screws, be careful, everything is brittle. While you are in there,. think about insulating the roof prior to reinstalling the headliner. Good luck!
