I'm looking for a 1964 Ford Thunderbird that was owned by my father in 1965.How do I do that? I don't have a vin number.

Your only hope is the state motor vehicle dept where the car was registered when he had it may have a way of researching by your fathers full name in 1965 and get a vin number.

Tell us what you know. City State purchased. Model, hard top, convertible. Color. etc anything you can remember.

another thought... do you have any photos of the car that show the license tag sharp enough to read. If so, write Sec. of State with the number and date and your story. They may be able to find it that way. The big if in this is if the car left the state you may not have a chance. If it was wrecked and junked, the junk yard should have reported the VIN
