Just had valves and hardend seats, guides and lifters done. Have about 40 miles on the new heads, just noticed it for the first time today.

Master cylinder may be leaking fluid into power brake booster.

Thanks for both of those answers, it gives me a starting point. When I get it fixed I'll post it in case anyone else has this problem. Paul.

Did you use the proper sequence and torque lbs when you tightened down the heads? It sounds like you may have a head gasket starting to blow.
