Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Trouble with this 86' 2 3 Ranger. No spark,
my friend ran out of gasoline and now will
,not start. Continuity from ground wires all
seams good. Silionoid, cap, and rotor good
Plugs good too. Is there a easy way to
check out the distributor to make sure it's
working?

Make sure the Inertia switch isnt activated. its a switch on the passengers side footwell that turns the fuel pump off in the event of an accident. Ive seen them fail or just need to be reset before.. It will definitely keep the truck from starting
