Make sure the cap and rotor are good, as you do have spark. One thing that happens on the older Fords is the pin that secures the distributor gear to the distributor shaft may be sheard allowing the gear to slip. Common problem. Take the distributor cap off, and try to twist the rotor to see if it moves. If it does, then the distributor has to come out and a new pin installed threw the gear. Then re-time the engine.

Did all that. Has to be a wire somewhere. Which color coded wire should be hot when I turn the key on?

Just got back from work. You say you have spark from the coil. So it is either cap, rotor, wires, or plugs.

There should be 12V on one side of the coil. You have me a bit confused as you say you have fire out of the coil going to the distributor. That means a spark is coming out of the coil.
