Oftentimes the wiper motor has an internal circuit breaker instead of a fuse in the fuse box. If it trips the wipers will stop. Then after a few minutes the circuit breaker will reset and the wipers will start again. If this is happening repeatedly make sure the wiper transmission is not getting stuck or binding in any way. Heavy ice and snow can trip the circuit breaker sometimes. But if no issues are found I'd suspect replacing the wiper motor. Hope that helps! Jim
