88 f150 wont start

Asked by Michelle Dec 20, 2018 at 09:25 AM about the 1988 Ford F-150

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

In the past week the truck had the starter, starter
solenoid, alternator, tensioner pulley and belt
replaced.  Battery has voltage. Ignition about to go out
but can still be started with a pair of pliers. Ran fine
yesterday but today when trying to start it won't crank
over or even make a noise.  Lights come on and when
the key is turned to just on it makes the whirring
sound of the electric system kicking in. What would
make it not crank over?
