1988 f150 no heat also temp gauge not working

changed out thermostat still no heat and gauge
not working. What should be my next step?

Did you burp the air from the system after you changed the thermostat? You could have a bad radiator cap, your fans are not coming on when you reach temperature. The passes in the radiator may be clogged and may need to be cored. The outside fins on the radiator are dirty and may need to be flushed with water and soap. Your water pump may not be working....
