is there a difference between a 1986 351w block and a 1995 351w block

Good question, I have always heard pre 1975 was better than the post 74. In other words the 69-74 block is thicker in the mains area and the 75-on are thinner, 84 - up has 1 piece real oil seal and In 1988 fuel-injection replaced the four barrel carburetor. Roller camshaft/lifters were introduced in this engine in 1994. 1994, the engine was changed to MAF or Mass Air Flow.
