What is the gear ratio for an 86,3 speed,4.9 litter 2 wheel drive
Just recently my transmition stared to slip really bad i need to replace it but dont know if theres a particular kind or what not

Your truck most likely has the C6. You should be able to identify the trans by looking at the transmission pan. The C6 Gear ratios are: 1st=2.46:1 2nd=1.46:1 3rd=1:1 I have attached a picture of a C6 Transmission pan If it dosn't look like this take a picture of your transmission's pan so I can try to identify it. (FYI:The attached photo is from truck.hownd.com) Hope this helps
