CAN I SWITCH THE "OLD" ELECTRIC DOOR WINDOWS TO HAND-CRANKS ??

Asked by mf647uc Aug 07, 2014 at 01:57 PM about the 1985 Ford F-150

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

THE OLD ELECTRIC WINDOW MOTORS ARE WEAK AND NOT DEPENDABLE.
is there a way to do-away with the electric motors and put in hand-cranks,  or would i have to get doors from a junk yard with hand cranks already in the doors ????
tks.....

Do some checking and see if the vehicle came with roll up windows when it was made. It is was, then you can switch it over. It would be much more difficult and expensive than purchasing and replacing a motor for the window.
