Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i've been workin on my '85 F-150, and cant get it running.  i've changed the fuel lines, filter, full oil change  and spark plugs, new fuel pump, new wires, distributor and rotor, tinkered with the timing...  any tips for me?  all i'm goin off of is it overheats in  couple minutes.  its a straight six btw.
