i,m not sure on the 83 model mine was an 03 and on the highway i got 22/23 miles per gallon and town about 17.

I would guess about 10 city maybe 13 highway thats if it has the 350. With a bigger motor it could be worse

If it is 2wd with a 350, count on roughly 10-12 city, 13-18 highway. 4wd should get about 8-10 city, 10-12 highway.
