anyone got suggestions for a 73 vette expiriencing a loss of power in the gear shift

This could be a real hunt! But lets try looking at this first. Check the vacuum advance on the dist, and make sure it is working.A float level set to low will starve your engine of gas under acceleration, make it want to bogg. A leak at the front or back of the intake manifold will also give you fits. Weak ignition coil will drive you crazy. Good Luck. I hope this helps you find your problem.
